Asian photography has found a new voice—or rather, voices. From their headquarters in Taiwan, Voices of Photography (VOP, 攝影之聲), edited by Wei-I Lee and his team, reports on and analyzes major developments in Asian photography (along with a few volumes on Western artists).
Although many of their texts are only available in Chinese, a considerable amount of their articles, books and magazines have been translated into English, allowing readers to follow this independent and tastemaking publisher. Artists, gallerists, curators, publishers and members of almost every profession in the photo world are passed under the microscope. Some of their issues have been expanded into art books.
